Flame retardant agent BDDP is a white powder. Its melting point is 110 Min. And it is soluble in dichloromethane, toluene and acetone but insoluble in water and carbinol. This is the only compound whose chemical structure contains aroma bromine and fat bromine, so it has excellent thermos-stability and compatibility with resin. It has excellent anti-flammability effect. It features: 1) A high effective fire retardant with both aromatic bromine and aliphatic bromine 2) Excellent heat and light stability
3) Because of its suitable melting point, it can firstly be melted to be uniform dispersion under normal temperature for plastic processing and is easier to melt and mix with plastic without the phenomenon of substance stratified and separated out
4) The effect is quite clear when it is used in PP plastic (generally, adding 3-8% fire retardant and 1.5% antimony trioxide into PP plastic can made the product meet the stipulations of UL94-VO standard
